Biography

Lorig Panossian, M.D. is a Neurologist and Section Chief of Sleep Medicine at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center of Northern California. Dr. Panossian received a B.S. in Neuroscience from UCLA and an M.D. from UCSF. She completed her residency training in Neurology at UCLA, Clinical Fellowship in Sleep Medicine, MS program in Translational Research and her postdoctoral research followship all at the University of Pennsylvania. She has authored 14 original medical research, reviews, and book chapters. Lorig is a Board member and Treasurer of the Armenian Healthcare Association of the Bay Area (AHABA), the local chapter of the Armenian Medical International Committee. She teaches Armenian culture and language classes at the Armenian Relief Society, Erepuni Saturday school. Lorig’s community services include vice-chairing the AGBU Armenian Young Professionals of Philadelphia and as co-founder and president of a chapter of the Armenian Student and Housestaff Association at UCSF Medical School.
